"Wigorama 2009 will be bigger than ever - we're hoping to raise record amounts of cash with colourful campness," Auckland's Family bar hostess Miss Ribena tells GayNZ.com. Carry on campness: Miss Ribena (centre) and her fans The fundraising night of drag shows on Anzac Eve will raise funds for Rainbow Youth, with over 40 entertainers lined up to show their talent on stage. The event, beginning at 8pm this Friday 24 April, will be hosted by Steven Oates and will feature performances by drag queen favourites including Buckwheat, Miss K, Miss Mole, Kyra Panties, Tiffany Rose and many more. Rainbow Youth volunteers will be shaking donation buckets on the door. There'll also be a fundraising sausage sizzle. Similar events in previous years have raised thousands of dollars for worthy LGBT charities - including over $3,400 for the Cartier Bereavement Trust in 2007.
