Judge Judy blasts gay marriage ban

Fri 20 Mar 2009 In: International News View at Wayback View at NDHA

TV's no-nonsense Judge Judy Sheindlin has told CNN interviewer Larry King her impassioned views on California's gay marriage debate. Judge Judy "I was saddened by the vote," said Sheindlin of the state's balloted decision to ban same-sex couples from uniting in marriage. "I was as saddened by the vote here in California as I was in the state of Arkansas, which was equally an affront to common sense, in what I know in my role as a Family Court judge for 25 years, is not in the interests of children, because in the state of Arkansas they said no same-sex couple could adopt a child, or foster parent a child. "I know so many gay couples who are wonderful parents." Watch a clip of Judge Judy talking to Larry King about gay marriage below.
