Westie lesbians meet to tackle hot topics

A series of discussions at the West Auckland Women's Centre is an opportunity to get into hot topics of interest to women who love women. Lesbian Bites discussions are organised by the centre's Lesbian Discussion Group, and topics include 'Coming out to family', 'dealing with homophobia', 'Lesbians in the media', 'crushes on straight women', and 'books, art and poetry'. "It's about capturing the diverse nature of the lesbian community by offering topics that will interest a broad range of women," explains facilitator Cissy Rock. "No matter how long you've identified as a lesbian, you'll have something to contribute and something to learn from these discussions." Lesbian Bites happen on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7-9pm at the West Auckland Women's Centre, 111 McLeod Road Te Atatu South. More details are on the link below.
