Guilty verdict in gay porn murder case

Fri 13 Mar 2009 In: International News View at Wayback View at NDHA

A jury in Pennsylvania has found gay porn actor Harlow Cuadra guilty of the first-degree murder of Bryan Kocis, a rival porn producer. Guilty: Gay porn actor Harlow Cuadra Cuadra and fellow porn actor, lover, and business partner Joseph Kerekes were accused of stabbing Kocis almost 30 times and setting fire to Kocis' home to cover it up. Along with the murder conviction, the jury also found Cuadra guilty of 11 other crimes including theft, robbery, arson and abuse of corpse. Kocis, who operated one of the country's biggest gay adult entertainment companies, died in early 2007 of massive blood loss after his head was nearly sliced off and his torso was stabbed dozens of times. Both Cuadra and Kerkes were originally charged with first degree murder and prosecutors said they would seek the death penalty, but back in December Kerkes plead guilty for second-degree murder – a result of a deal with prosecutors – and was sentenced to life in prison.
