A massive auction happening in Canada this Saturday will see props and complete sets from popular lesbian TV drama The L Word go to the highest bidders as the series finale is broadcast this weekend on US television. Everything must go: Complete sets from The L Word will be auctioned off "From owning a piece of character Kit Porter's stylish Planet café to slipping into one of the ladies' red-hot heels, the auction will offer high-end one-of-a-kind items, all with no minimum bid," say the crew at Able Auctions in Vancouver, where the show is filmed. Fans of the show will be able to peruse the 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse containing almost every item used in the production of the series, including up to 70 racks of designer clothes. Also included are unique items from the characters' favourite hotspot The Hit Club, such as the Moroccan-themed daybeds and hanging Moroccan lights. In tune with the sexiness of the show, 30 boxes of sex toys will also go under the gavel. "For those that like to ride in style, Kit's mint condition 1974 Chevrolet Impala is ready to roll with only 96,000 miles. Other high-end items include a mid-century teak dining table with four chairs and a Le Corbusier two-seater white leather sofa, as seen in eccentric character Jenny Schecter's bedroom." "The L Word was an extremely popular show and fans can now own a piece of television history," says Jeremy Dodd, principal of Able Auctions. "So far we've had interest from as far away as Arizona, Florida and California, as well as the United Kingdom and Australia. It's going to be huge." More details on the auction are on the link below, and a video showing an auctioneer wandering through the massive warehouse containing all the items is shown below.
