Sydney's Mardi Gras Harbour Party

Thu 5 Mar 2009 In: Worth Checking Out View at NDHA

One of the world's most gay-friendly cities turned on a huge Harbour Party at the weekend, as Sydney's Mardi Gras Festival continues. Set in Sydney's beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens right opposite the famous Opera House and Harbour Bridge, the party featured gay singer Sam Sparro, and Aussie DJ favourites Alex Taylor, Kate Monroe and Stephen Allkins. In amongst the hundreds of shirtless men at the party was the chairman of New Mardi Gras, who told SameSame.com.au his thoughts on the future of the internationally-renowned LGBT festival. The video crew also spotted a certain well-known 'Queer Eye' in the crowd! Matt Akersten - 5th March 2009
