The sun shone on Wellington's Civic Square yesterday afternoon, as over 8,000 people passed through the annual Out in the Square day of LGBT community entertainment. Out in the Square: 3pm at Wellington's Civic Square Alt TV's gay presenter Steven Oates was MC for most of the day, presenting games for brave punters to play, and introducing entertainment from the capital's top drag queens, including Felicity Frockacinno and Rhubarb Rouge. NZ Idol winner Rosita Vai stole the show in the late afternoon with her live songs, before Auckland drag 'twins' Buffy and Bimbo got the dozens of crowd members up and dancing in time with their camp songs. As ever, the food stalls and community group information stands were popular, with items on sale ranging from homemade jams, second-hand books and bric-a-brac, whitebait fritters, through to the latest book from the Gay
