10:15am: After a showery day yesterday, wet night, and grey morning, the skies over Wellington are expected to clear around midday, so Out in the Square's organisers have begun setting up their stage and stalls in Civic Square for this afternoon's LGBT family fun event. Kicking off at 12pm, the event will feature almost all the cast of entertainers originally lined up for yesterday's fair. Steven Oates will MC for much of the day's activities, and has a variety of games and prizes in store. Auckland drag 'twins' Buffy and Bimbo will be on stage with their shows around 3pm and 4pm. A variety of Wellingtonian LGBT community stalls are now being set up, along with food and beverage stands. Last year's event Out in the Square saw thousands of people pass through Civic Square and catch the action on a drizzly early Autumn day – this year organisers are still hoping for a big turnout as the skies are turning blue at last.
