The team behind Auckland's annual Celebration LGBT dance party are teaming up with K' Road's Sohomo crew for an Easter blow-out they say will be this year's biggest gay dance party. Planned for Good Friday, the Easter Paradise event will spread across all seven rooms at the newly expanded and renovated Studio venue on K' Road. "Easter Paradise opens its arms to the entire GLTB network," say the promoters. "The venue's seven rooms will be programmed for diversity, each catering for a different crowd, mixing the magnitude and quality of dance parties of yesteryear with the very best of today's new and vibrant nightlife." In addition, each room will be themed as one of the Seven Deadly Sins – Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride. "This Easter show will be dripping with decadence and dressed for excess," say the party's organisers. "We've locked down a large line-up of DJs, dynamic LGBT live acts, visual artists, performance artists and 'heavenly hosts'. "This event will be one staggeringly large, sweat and glitter coated, fabulous and beautiful Easter extravaganza!" The Easter Paradise party is set to happen at Studio (340 K' Road) on Good Friday, 10 April, with tickets available on the link below, priced at $35 ($25 for students, $45 on the door).
