Price chop for Air NZ Pink Flight

Sun 22 Feb 2009 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Air New Zealand is running a special this week on its Pink Flight to Sydney Mardi Gras on Friday 6 March - chopping $130 off the price, so that seats are now only $199. All aboard: Flight attendant Buckwheat Any passengers who had already booked the gay party flight for $329 will have received an email on Friday telling them they will be provided with a $130 refund. GayNZ.com understands that bookings for the Pink Flight were slower than previous years, due to other Air New Zealand and other airlines' flights to Sydney around the same date being over $100 less expensive. The third annual party flight will again feature drag queen entertainment and treats for Kiwi passengers off to experience Sydney's 31st Mardi Gras Parade and Party. This year, though the Pink Flight "goes glam" says drag hostess Buckwheat. "We want our guests to dress up to the nines like it's a fabulous cocktail party. And to reward you for your effort, we have shows, surprises and treats in store for our lucky passengers." Gay AltTV presenter Stephen Oates will host the pre-flight party at the departure lounge, where soul singer Ladi6 will perform live. Air New Zealand's special $199 seats on the Pink Flight are only available to book this week online at the link below.
