A key staff member of HIV+ support organisation Body Positive has been made redundant due to funding difficulties. Bain Duigan, an experienced writer and media liaison who was employed by the long-running organisation for almost three years, finished last week, as Body Positive reduces its activities to 'core services'. Body Positive's general manager Bruce Kilmister revealed last December that the organisation's key funders - including ASB Charitable Trusts and Auckland City Council's Community Support Fund - had indicated that much less money is available to apply for in the 2009 year.
