Poster Boys: Kiwis in last year's Mardi Gras Parade Mardi Gras Parade organizers say they will this year be grouping people together by geography, with themed continental markers amongst the Parade. "We're extending a welcome to the world to come to Sydney to be part of the world's most colourful gay celebration," say the Mardi Gras crew. "Just be spectacularly yourself!" Last year several New Zealanders took part in the Parade, including the NZ AIDS Foundation's Safe Sex Poster Boys, who marched with their Sydney equivalent, the AIDS Council of New South Wales crew. New Zealand LGBT community groups, non-profit organisations and LGBT businesses, or even just well-known LGBT individuals are invited to become part of the parade free of charge. Parade entrants can appear on a float or march on foot. Applications for the parade close on Monday 9 February. Contact Phoebe Meredith to register via email: parade@mardigras.org.au.
