Rainbow Youth ready for Big Gay Out

Auckland's LGBT youth will be out in force at next Sunday's Big Gay Out picnic day in Coyle Park. "Rainbow Youth will be there with two tents; one with information, merchandise and ice cold Rainbow Youth water to purchase and the other as a chill-out space for their members," explains the LGBT support organisation's secretary Toni Reid. This year Rainbow Youth will hold a raffle to raise funds for new equipment in their drop-in centre at 281 Karangahape Road. The centre has recently been refurbished, which would not have been possible without the support from members of the community, Reid explains. The raffle has a variety of goodies to be won, including t-shirts donated from Love NZ New Zealand and MrVintage, books from The Women's Bookshop, prize packs from GayNZ.com, a SnowPlanet voucher and meal/drinks vouchers from Family
