The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation have nominated several outstanding films and TV shows in its 20th annual media gongs - and chat show host Tyra Banks is up for a special award. "A strong advocate": Tyra Banks Banks is among this year's media personalities who "have used their positions of power within the media to become strong advocates on behalf of the LGBT community," says the GLAAD organisation. "They are changing hearts and minds, opening people's eyes to our common humanity, and it is our privilege to honour them."
