UK gay pop star Boy George – found guilty last month of falsely imprisoning a male escort – has been sentenced to 15 months in jail. Behind bars: Boy George The singer, 47, had handcuffed former sex worker Audun Carlsen to a wall and beat him with a metal chain. Judge David Radford described the attack as "humiliating" and the star's attitude to the crime "callous". "There can be no doubt that your premeditated, callous and humiliating handcuffing and detention of Mr Carlsen shocked, degraded and traumatised him," Judge Radford said, reports the Press Association. "He was deprived of his liberty and human dignity without warning or proper explanation to him of its purpose, length or purported justification."
