Wellington Central's Labour MP Grant Robertson exchanged vows with his long-term partner Alf Kaiwai at a church ceremony yesterday, reports the Dominion Post. United: Grant Robertson (right) and his partner Alf "We are living proof that it pays not to stereotype - we met playing rugby," Robertson said in his maiden speech in parliament last month. "I was the No 8 and he was the halfback. A great combination. I also have had the pleasure of sharing in his two children growing up over the last ten years, and being part of his wider whänau." The Dom Post says at least 200 people would wish them well on their special day, which took place at the historic Old St. Paul's church in Thorndon. The couple have been together for over a decade. "He's fun and I love him. I hope the feeling's mutual after 10 years. If he wanted to get out, he should have got out by now," Robertson joked.
