Two Saudi Arabian men have been beheaded after being found guilty of raping a man, says the country's interior ministry. The Kuwait Times is reporting that the two men entered the room of the victim while he was sleeping, and beat him, tied him up and raped him. Saudi Arabia follows a strict interpretation of Islam. People convicted of murder, drug trafficking, rape and armed robbery can be executed with a sword. Almost 100 people were beheaded in 2008. Shari'a law, as interpreted and enforced in Saudi Arabia, also allows punishment for consensual homosexuality, ranging from imprisonment to 'flogging'. In 2007, two gay men were given 7,000 lashes by prison authorities in Saudi Arabia.
