47% of the UK's out gay teenaged guys wouldn't know how to say 'no' to risky sex, according to a new survey on a youth website. The Puffta 2009 survey quizzed British gay, bisexual and 'unsure' guys aged 12-19 about their social and sex lives. The majority of respondents over 16 said they were sexually active, and nearly half said they'd had sex without condoms. Half said they been bullied for being gay at school, and over three-quarters revealed that homosexuality had never been mentioned as part of sex education at school. High School Musical star Zac Efron and Skins' Mitch Hewer came equal tops in the "who is the hottest celebrity" question. "The good news is that we're more confident than any generation before us about coming out to close friends," says the website. "But school is nowhere near safe enough for us – and the lack of discussion of homosexuality in the classroom probably plays a big part. "With a silence around gay issues, and no safe-sex advice for gay boys, perhaps it's no surprise that half of you report being bullied over your sexuality – and that similar numbers are having unsafe sex," it concludes.
