A 46-year-old Horowhenua man is on trial in Palmerston North District Court charged with using Amyl Nitrite to stupefy a 29-year-old man before sexually violating him, reports the Manawatu Standard. A recording of the two men flirting on the night of the incident showed the sexual encounter was consensual, claims the accused man's defence council.
