Lesbian affair: Former maths teacher Amanda Thompson (pic: Courier Mail) Amanda Louise Thompson, 28, pleaded not guilty, but the court heard that the affair lasted over two years, with the par going on holidays alone and with the student's family, reports the Brisbane Times. The relationship began when the former math teacher learned her student had an eating disorder, and took her under her wing. The pair became inseparable, meeting each lunchtime, travelling to and from school together, and communicating constantly by phone calls and texts. Soon they met in parks to have sex, and even became intimate in the student's family home, where her parents asked for her bedroom door to be left open after discovering the two in bed together. Thompson's marriage broke down during the affair, as her husband complained she was spending too much time with the student. Thompson will be sentenced at a later date, after undergoing psych assessments. Read more on this story on the links below.
