Obama victory 'will destroy American values'

Wed 29 Oct 2008 In: International News

If Barack Obama is elected President of the United States a kind of moral and social apocalypse, with homosexuality heavily implicated, is being predicted by one of the USA's most influential evangelical Christian groups. Barak Obama: Bringer of the apocalypse? James Dobson of Focus on the Family, which claims to reach 220 million people around the world, is predicting that within four years of an Obama victory the Boy Scouts will no longer exist due to being forced to employ "homosexual scoutmasters and allow them to sleep in tents with young boys." Church-based adoption agencies will have been forced to shut down and secular agencies will be preventing Christian parents from adopting children "because they have 'narrow' or dangerous views on religion or homosexuality." Churches will have no freedom to refuse to allow their buildings to be used for wedding ceremonies for homosexual couples" and "homosexuals will be given special bonuses for enlisting in military service." But wait there's more. Christian nurses, physicians, family counselors, lawyers and other professionals are predicted to be banned from working in their chosen profession and because homeschooling, a favourite of evangelical Christians who wish their children to be raised in a strictly religious environment, will apparently be outlawed thousands of homeschooling parents will be fleeing with their families to New Zealand or Australia. The Focus on the Family flock, who place great faith in their religious leadership, are also being fed with fear of terrorists overwhelming Iraqui security forces leading to mass executions of millions of Iraqis, US television programs at all hours of the day containing explicit portrayals of sexual acts, dozens of Bush staffers languishing in jail and Obama cozying up to anti-American communist regimes in Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia. Focus on the Family has strong ties to the Republican party of John McCain and astonished political columnists believe Dodson's desperate attempt to turn his flock against Democrat Obama spring from the increasing likelihood that Obama and not McCain will win the Presidential election. A more extensive summary of the state of the USA four years into an Obama presidency, according to Focus on the Family, can be accesssed athrough the link below.
