Austrian Neo-Nazi party sacks gay leader

Austria’s extreme-right Alliance for the Future of Austria Party has fired its leader a day after he said he had had a long-term affair with the charismatic former head of the party. Haider (l) and Petzner Stefan Petzner, 27, has spoken publicly about his affair with the late Jorg Haider who died in a high-speed crash earlier this month after drinking heavily and being intimate with another male at a gay bar. Petzner says the pair's "special" relationship went "far beyond" friendship: "He was the man of my life... I only had him. Now I am all alone." Petzer was named party leader a day after Haider, who was married, died. The party won 11 percent of the vote in national elections last month, a result which raised fearss of a further rfesurgence of neo-Naziism in Austria.
