Up for grabs: Urge men step up for charity The event on Saturday night will raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand and Body Positive. Co-owner Alan Granville says there have been some fantastic donations from a host of contributors. "We have been amazed by the generosity of the companies and individuals who have decided to offer prizes for free," he says. "We have some weekend's away, meals, accommodation, leather goods, cocktail waiters, car mechanics etc to auction off. "We know there are a lot of people suffering financially at the moment but we hope that they can dig deep and find some cash for such worthy causes. Last year we raised nearly $1,500 so we hope to beat that on Saturday," he added. One in four in every 100 male deaths in New Zealand are due to prostate cancer and it is the third most common cause of death from cancer for men after lung and bowel cancer. Urge's Slave Auction begins from 10.30pm this Saturday night.
