Porn stars reveal

Wed 10 Sep 2008 In: International News View at Wayback

A group of well-known gay porn actors have united in a new video – but this time the action isn't X-rated. "You have to have one of these to get with me!" Following in the footsteps of porn baroness Chi Chi LaRue last year, the sex-on-screen stars have spoken out for condom use in a cheeky video called 'How I Roll'. Porn actor Steve Cruz tells his story on the campaign's website: "I was getting an HIV test one day when my counselor at the San Francisco Department of Health asked questions about my sexual history. Piecing together the last year I realized a disturbing trend. First was that I fucked a lot of guys (ok not so disturbing)… "And second, more and more guys were asking me to bareback [have sex without condoms]. Truthfully, the only place I felt safe from this pressure was at work on a porn set. (shrugs) How ironic right?! "So then I began to wonder why our attitudes toward condom use had started to relax? Especially now when the number of new HIV infections is on the rise," the hung hunk explains. Cruz says he created the website www.howiroll.info to present men with the facts about HIV and STDs: "Armed with knowledge, I hope we can better take care of ourselves and each other. "I am not here to wag my finger in your face. You have figure out 'How You Roll'. If nothing else I am here to remind us all that safer and hotter sex is still happening…" The How I Roll video is shown below, along with a link to the website.
