Police in South East England have accidentally encouraged residents to visit a website offering links to hardcore gay pornography and police strippers. Porn links - as suggested by Sussex Police The Sussex Police force were trying to promote their Operation Beat Sweep, a programme to tackle anti-social behaviour from gun crime to grime on a leaflet, reports PinkNews.co.uk. But instead of recommending residents visit their website www.sussex.police.uk, they printed the website address as www.sussexpolice.co.uk, a domain name owned by an unrelated party that utilises it to promote links to gay porn websites. Local woman Lucy Daley is quoted in the Daily Star tabloid newspaper as being "absolutely horrified" by the advertising: "I can't believe this leaflet even got to the stage of being printed and posted through people's doors. Did nobody check it at any stage of the process?" she said. A Sussex Police insider responded: "It's very embarrassing. Hopefully not too many people will try to visit the site. We're looking at ways of preventing this type of thing happening in the future." More on this story is on the link below.
