Despite telling Christchurch's community that last year's elaborate Oscars awards show would be her last, it's drag hostess Miss Mole now says she'll bring it back this October "by popular demand". Guess who's back: Miss Mole But the 26th annual show on Labour Weekend Sunday 26 October will again award and celebrate Christchurch's LGBT community stalwarts and present local talent – but the long-running event will feature a new look and layout this year, Mole reveals. "We're transforming the Civic on Manchester Street again, but in a very different way, with a new stage layout, bigger dancefloor and laser lighting," she says. The entertainment line-up for the night is yet to be confirmed, but outrageous Auckland Caluzzi drag cabaret girl Beaver Brown has been announced as guest compare. Earlybird tickets are now on sale for the special prize of two for $30 from Miss Mole's Flamingo Bar, the Civic Complex, or Pandora's Costume Hire.
