Fri 27 Jun 2008 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Kiss bar at 309 K' Road - which hosts gay nights Fluffy and Ultra each weekend - has upgraded its sound system, and will soon host a newly rebranded 'polysexual' dance party. DJ Justin Sane The sound system has been completely overhauled, says party promoter DJ Marty: "You can now hear all your favourite Fluffy anthems and pumping Ultra hits in beautiful, powerful, clear audio." New events have been announced to take advantage of the upgrade, beginning with Climax on Saturday 5 July. "Climax is a brand new 'polysexual' dance party featuring resident Fluffy and Ultra DJs Justin Sane and Tania M along with newcomers Grant Robertson and Joe Johnson. This is a fun, no-attitude evening of epic, pumping house, upbeat electro and stunning lasers - and free entry." "I like to think of a polysexual event as an event were sexuality just isn't an issue", explains DJ Justin Sane. "It doesn't matter if you're gay, straight or somewhere in between - it's more about having fun with your mates in a comfortable, safe, attitude-free environment." Sane, originally from the UK, adds: "These types of events have been running successfully in London for many years now, and having a diverse mixture of people always makes the parties fresh and interesting." The team at Fluffy are also on a mission to find the Ultimate Fluffy Go-Go Dancer. "There have been so many hot dancers at Fluffy over the past few months that it's been decided that a competition will be run to see just who is the best," laughs Marty. Prizes will be offered, and more details are available by emailing Marty at: marty@salvationparty.co.nz .
