People planning to attend the memorial for the late Darren Taylor - also known as drag diva Bambi Slut - are being asked to wear bright colours for "a celebration of his life" this afternoon. Bambi Slut The gay-friendly St-Matthew-in-the-City Church in central Auckland will be the venue for today's memorial - which begins at 4:30pm, not 2pm as previously stated elsewhere. Darren Taylor's long-time friend and drag sister Buckwheat says this afternoon is a chance to celebrate a wonderful life well-lived, and wants a colourful crowd at the church. Following the church service, a special event to honour Bambi Slut at K' Road's Crest Hotel begins at 6pm, featuring shows from many of her drag queens friends. Buckwheat says "it'll be a night to always remember".
