Auckland University's gay student president says he doesn't mind making a dick of himself to promote better sexual health. Getting his bits out: David Do's giant penis promotes student sexual health Last week David Do walked cockily around campus creating awareness of male sexual health issues and STI checks while wearing a costume shaped like a penis. Do explains that students need to know about the sexual health services that are available at the University. "All the other student associations nationwide are all doing various campaigns about male sexual health. Our campaign was fairly simple - me wearing the penis suit, and our Sexual Health Centre doing some free clinic opening hours so students could come in and get themselves tested. "Chlamydia is the most commonly diagnosed sexually transmitted infection in New Zealand, and gonorrhea surely can't be far behind. Sometimes those who have it don't have any symptoms, so this increases the importance of being safe and getting checked." The student pres says the feedback he got from students seeing him in his costume was "really positive". "It was quite funny, talking to people in the costume, but people quite liked it. The response was great. Everyone was talking about it," says Do. "We're all doing this for a good reason. The last thing we want is for our male members to be thrust into a sticky situation!"
