Tens of thousands took to the streets of Rome, Athens and Warsaw for Gay Pride parades today, drawing attention to the fact that many gays in Europe still do not enjoy the same rights as heterosexuals. In Warsaw, about 2,000 people took part in an "equality parade" today to call for tolerance and more rights for gays in Poland. The march proceeded without major incident, although it begin with about 100 members of the radical nationalist All Polish Youth and National Radical Camp parties trying to disrupt the event.
