Takataapui TV: The World According to Rangatira

Tue 6 May 2008 In: Worth Checking Out View at Wayback View at NDHA

The next episode of Maori Television's LGBT documentary programme Takataapui will be broadcast at 9:30pm on Monday 12 May: An awesome line-up of respected Rangatira takataapui give considered, open - and at times powerfully simple - first-hand accounts of the World According to Takataapui. These Rangatira mobilised for change and spoke out. It was their friends who bewilderingly died in numbers during the HIV/ AIDS epidemic, some marched on Parliament for Law Reform for homosexual men, and some consider a Civil Union to be half a Civil Right. This is a powerful assembly of words, views and opinions from people who have by their existence and actions carved out paths to the future for takataapui to come. Takataapui is broadcast on Maori Television each Monday night at 9:30pm, then repeats on Freeview's Stratos channel at 10pm. The programme will also be made available on demand via Gay Gogglebox TV on the link below. Takataapui TV - 6th May 2008
