Sat 26 Apr 2008 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

New episodes of Maori Television's LGBT programme will be made available to view 'on demand' via the internet after their initial broadcast. Twenty documentary-style episodes will be shown on Maori Television at 9:30pm each Monday night, beginning with this week's The World According to Rangatahi youth korero special on 28 April. Each programme will then repeat on Freeview's Stratos channel at 10pm Monday nights. Shortly after broadcast, clips from each Takataapui show will be made available on production company Front of the Box's internet video service GoggleboxTV - available on the top link below. Gogglebox's channel Gay Goggle currently features a variety of video clips reflecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender indigenous and Takataapui local and global communities. Maryan Street, Edward Cowley AKA Buckwheat, Marilyn Waring, Mereana Pitman, Maree Sheehan, Bonnie Hurunai and Lindah Lepou are just a few of the interviews featured in the 72 clips available so far. Preview summaries of each new Takataapui episode will be featured in GayNZ.com's Worth Looking At section in the week before broadcast.
