LGBT advocacy network Rainbow Wellington has arranged an informal meeting with their Vice Patron, 'out' National Party MP Chris Finlayson. National MP Chris Finlayson Finlayson is Shadow Attorney General and National's spokesperson on Arts, Culture Rainbow Wellington has also announced it will keep with its tradition by holding an Election Candidates' Forum in the Grand Hall of Parliament in coming months before NZ's General Election. As usual, local candidates from all the Parliamentary parties will be invited, with a sit-down meal provided by Bellamy's resaurant, followed by brief presentations and 'question and answer' sessions. "I gather that candidates have clamoured to attend, such is its reputation," reveals Simpson. Marian Hobbs, Rainbow Wellington's Vice-Patron and local MP for Wellington Central, has hosted the last two such events, and this years' will be her grand finale, Simpson adds.
