Giant red shoe stolen from Dorothy's Sister

Sun 23 Mar 2008 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

The big red glittering shoe on the porch roof of Ponsonby Road's campiest bar was stolen sometime on Friday night - and now a large reward has been offered for its return. "Someone has climbed onto the roof and cut the straps that held it in place," explains Rodney of Dorothy's Sister. "Naturally we are outraged that someone has done this and would like very much to find out who would be so low as to steal a piece of fabulosity like that," he adds. The bar is now offering a $200 bar tab to the person who gives them enough information to recover the shoe. "On a personal note, I would like to put a stiletto were no shoe has gone before," says Rodney angrily. Dorothy's Sister has been open over Easter, and has recently launched Girl Thursday - a weekly women's night in the bar. Rodney can be contacted via email at: peterataylor@ihug.co.nz.
