The new lease-holder of Wellington's only gay nightclub insists the venue will reopen with a new look and new energy - but unfortunately there's still some months to wait. Greig Wilson, who also owns Wellington nightspot SubNine, hoped to have Imerst reopened this weekend, but a dispute between the last tenant and the landlord over who owned the assets in the building, meant that the assets had to be removed and Autumn party plans scrapped at the last minute. "I was going to open it and trade as Formerly Imerst for a few months while development was being done, but now we're going the complete the redevelopment and launch under a completely new brand," explains Wilson.
