Sat 1 Mar 2008 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

9.15am: Wellington's Out In The Square Gay and Lesbian Fair will take place as planned as the forecast bad weather has not yet eventuated, says fair co-organiser Aaron Hailwood. Speaking from the Civic Square venue, Hailwood says the weather is holding and there is no rain on the weather radar. "Everything is going to plan," he says, "we're doing the set up right now and everything is all go." The Fair, being held for the first time in Civic Square rather than its historic home at Newtown School, runs from 10am to 5pm today, with the opening ceremony being presided over by TVOne's Good Morning show host Steve Gray, and gay MP Tim Barnett scheduled to speak.
