HERO DJs prepped for party weekend

Thu 21 Feb 2008 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

With tickets selling fast and DJ's arriving in Auckland from cities around the globe, 2008's HERO Party promoters have announced tomorrow's Fluffy Friday night on K' Road will be a special preview event to introduce the HERO Party DJ crew. DJs Matt Steer from Brisbane, Miss Eleni from Melbourne, Ruby from Sydney, Paul Heron from London, and Stephen Simpson from Sydney will all be at 309 K' Road for the HERO Party warm-up event called Ultra Fluffy. With full-colour laser-lights, the event will feature the latest chunky underground house sounds from Paul Heron. Saturday night's HERO Party will be held in Auckland's grand old Civic Theatre, which will offer a selection of different dance spaces inside. DJ Marty says party-goers can expect to be dancing until the small hours of Sunday morning. "Packed venues can get hot, so dress for comfort - so less is best and skin is in," he recommends. Party promoters M2 Events say ticket outlets DJ Station, Marvel and The Womens Bookshop are now down to their final allocation of tickets, with the remaining tickets available from Ticketek, plus a limited number of door sales. Student concession tickets are now available from walk-in Ticketek outlets only. Show your student ID to pay $49.90 plus booking fee, reduced from the full ticket price of $69.90 plus booking fee.
