'D-List' celeb set for San Fran Pink Flight

Air New Zealand has confirmed outrageous American comedienne Kathy Griffin will join some of our best-known Kiwi drag queens on the Pink Flight from San Francisco to Sydney Mardi Gras on 26 February. Cathy Griffin Miss Venus Mantrapp, Buckwheat, Miss Tess Tickle, and Miss Ribena (pictured bottom right) will then return to New Zealand to take Kiwis party-goers from Auckland to Mardi Gras "in a raging swirl of pink" on 29 February. As the official hostess, self-proclaimed "D-List celebrity" Kathy Griffin will be treating travellers on the Boeing 777 San Fran flight to stand-up comedy in the air. "The passengers can expect a bawdy performance from me," she laughs. The 14-hour overnight flight will feature live performances from our Kiwi 'girls', as well as on-board party music, contests and classic gay-themed film screenings.
