Kiwi lesbians sign up for Aussie Girlfest

Lesbians on Australia's Sunshine Coast describe it as an "awesome and jam-packed" weekend, and Girlfest organisers say they're had lots of Kiwi women sign up for this year's premier Australasian lesbian event starting next Friday. Live music poolside at last year's Girlfest The Girlfest weekend on 25-28 February includes a Friday night comedy festival, Saturday night live music show and dance party, and Sunday 'chill-out' jazz and blues fest followed by a film evening. There's also golfing, singles wine tasting, beach volleyball and football, surfing lessons, and a bonfire on Sunday night. Organisers say almost 30 women from New Zealand - mostly from Auckland - have signed up for the weekend's events, and they are expecting many last-minute bookings for events and accommodation still available.
