There has been a hung jury in the murder trial of a teenager accused of murdering gay Palmerston North man Stanley Waipouri, reports TV3. The twelve members of the jury deliberated for almost eleven hours on the charges against 18-year-old Andre Gilling, but were unable to reach a unanimous decision. Gilling has been remanded in custody until 5 February. Co-accused man Ashley Arnopp, 20, changed his plea to guilty on Monday, and will appear for sentencing in late February.
