The Lesbian pui, fa'afafine and intersex communities who can commit to attending both days of the training. The training costs only $50 to help the Archives defray expenses and will take place in Wellington at the National Library of New Zealand on Saturday 24 November and Saturday 8 December, 9am - 4.30pm both days. Participants will learn how to research and prepare for interviews, how to run an interview, how to operate recording equipment and how to process material after the interview. The second part of the training will take place after trainees have had a chance to conduct an interview and will be an opportunity to share experiences with the other trainees. Linda Evans, an oral historian and one of the trainers, says “we'll be offering ongoing support for oral history volunteers after the training. Even if a trainee decides that conducting interviews isn't for them, we will still need volunteers to help with the research and processing material after the interview - so there are lots of ways people can get involved.” Visit the link below for more information on the training and LAGANZ's oral history activities. Anyone interested in the training can contact Dr Alison Laurie at (04) 474 3162 or alison.laurie@vuw.ac.nz.     Ref: LAGANZ (m)
