The Melbourne opening night of Priscilla: The Musical on Friday turned into even higher drama than planned when an anonymous caller rang the theatre and warned of an explosion. 2000 patrons were forced to evacuate the Regent Theatre just 20 minutes into the opening show and were told that the show wouldn't recommence an hour later. They will be reimbursed for the halted show. Priscilla the Musical opened in Sydney in October last year and closed on September 2 in preparation for its move to Melbourne. It has just been announced the show will also be staged in London's West End next year. Ref: SameSame (m)
