Ambiguous Destiny

Tue 18 Sep 2007 In: Comment

Brian Tamaki Today, Brian Tamaki and Richard Lewis will announce the Destiny sect's satellite party's future. Well, which is it to be? I can envisage several possibilities. One, Richard Lewis himself will step down as Destiny New Zealand leader. Two, Destiny New Zealand and Taito Philip Field's Pacific Party will announce a closer working relationship. Three, Destiny New Zealand and Future New Zealand will announce a closer working relationship. Four, all three will announce a closer working relationship with one another. Five, Tamaki will announce that given Destiny New Zealand's disappointing performance, Destiny New Zealand will cease operations, and he urges all fundamentalists to support centre-right political parties at the polls next year. Actually, option five may be the most logical, but we're forgetting that Destiny Church is a largely ego-driven party, so I suspect the announcement will be far less radical than the cessation of operations for Destiny New Zealand. Still, one lives in hope. Stay tuned. Craig Young - 18th September 2007
