Hamilton: Venom renovates and celebrates

Central Hamilton's LGBT bar/nightclub has closed its doors this week to renovate the interior - but its drag hostess assures GayNZ.com readers it will open again this Friday 7th September for an all-out renovation party. A new management structure at Venom has been put in place and the venue is preparing to celebrate the spring and the rebirth after the untimely death of owner Nicholas Morgan, says Dennis Ralph AKA 'Miss Gloriousole'. Ralph would not yet publicly reveal details of Morgan's will, but says the renovation efforts at Venom are in line with Morgan's wishes set in place before his death last month. The new management structure will be headed by acting bar manager Richard Legge with a team made up of former employees of Morgan at Venom. Meanwhile, several video clips from Mr. Gay Hamilton and other shows at Venom have been uploaded onto YouTube.
