Alt TV has announced its popular live gay music chat show ‘Sparkle on Sunday' will now be broadcast at the earlier prime-time slot of 9pm from this Sunday, 15 July. Alt TV Programme Director Martyn ‘Bomber' Bradbury says: “Sparkle on Sunday has enjoyed a massive audience response and has fast become one of Alt's top shows - we are absolutely stoked the show has been met by this level of success in such a short time.” On-air since April 2007, Sparkle on Sunday is hosted by well-known media personality, Steven Oates and offers a unique mix of celebrity interviews, witty conversation, rigorous debate, sexy videos and outrageous discussions on issues affecting all New Zealanders today, says Alt TV. Oates is delighted with the ratings and acknowledges the support of his dedicated audience. “The gay community has supported this show from day one and a significant number in the straight community have also made Sparkle on Sunday appointment viewing” says Steven, “the humour and the topics we discuss candidly obviously have broad appeal – and I want to keep that dialogue open, challenging and above all – sparkling.” ‘Sparkle On Sunday' is now broadcast at 9pm Sundays on Alt TV – on Sky channel 65, or UHF frequency 62 in Auckland.      Ref: Alt TV (m)
