New partying plan for

Tue 3 Jul 2007 In: New Zealand Daily News

The team behind George FM's Monday night ‘One in Ten' gay radio show have announced they're hosting a new regular party night for ‘discerning' LGBT Aucklanders. “We're here to provide a more sophisticated gay party every once in a while to the gays of Auckland city,” explain radio hosts Billy and Bob. Their first ‘A-Gay 07' party last month, promoted only on their radio show, attracted around 150 people in central Auckland's Tabac bar, so the duo decided to host more events. “This time it'll be bigger and better with our very own DJ's playing great music – we're not talking about techno and lasers here people.” The music will be sexy soul funk and hip-hop, rather than house and trance, explains Billy. “It'll be generally slower and sexier to dance to. “We all keep our shirts on and try not to sweat! Don't get me wrong, the big parties are great for most, but not for all. The A-Gay 07 parties are intended to compliment the big gay parties, not compete with them.” The next A-Gay 07 Party will be held at the Musket Room, Level One, 29 Ponsonby Rd from 10pm on Saturday the 7th of July 2007. Further details on this and future events will be posted on A-Gay 07's MySpace page at the link below, and in GayNZ.com's events diary.     Ref: GayNZ.com (m)
