The producer of New Zealand's newest LGBT TV show has confirmed episodes will be available on TVNZ's ‘On Demand' web-based service. The 10-part documentary/magazine-style series ‘The Outlook' begins tonight at 11.05pm on TV2, and the first episode will be available online at tvnzondemand.co.nz from Wednesday. The Outlook producer Glenn Sims says he's glad the show will be available online for those who miss the broadcast, but “I'm disappointed that the service won't be free. “However, given the specialist audience for the programme and that it deals with adult themes, I fully understand the decision made by TVNZ to restrict it to pay per download”. The new show will focus on the news, events, individuals and stories that inspire, interest and affect gays and lesbians in New Zealand. This week TVNZ also decided to feature many archival clips free on YouTube, including footage of the 1970's gay cooking couple ‘Hudson and Halls'. Ref: GayNZ.com (m)
