A local gay television presenter is planning to take an HIV test – and get the results – in a live broadcast on Tuesday evening. Dennis Petrone, 26, presents a ‘D-Spot’ feature on ‘Curiosity’, broadcast on Auckland-based alternative music channel ‘Alt TV’. He describes it as “an original sex show tackling your sex questions from what’s the best brand of nipple clamps to buy to which flavoured lubes are the safest.” The ‘rapid’ HIV test involves taking two drops of blood via a finger prick, which is then put into the testing device. The results are available in 20 minutes. The free test is now available in NZ AIDS Foundation centres in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch. Petrone’s test will be broadcast on Alt TV (Sky Channel 65, Auckland UHF frequency 62) from 11pm – 12am this Tuesday, 5th June. Ref: GayNZ.com (m)
