The NZ AIDS Foundation is searching for volunteer models for and AIDS poster photoshoot on Saturday 23 October in Auckland. Kevin Baker, Programme Manager, Positive Health at the NZAF says it is looking to create a group photo along the lines of the United Colours of Bennetton promotions which includes HIV positive and negative people, different cultures and communities affected in New Zealand. The focus of the imagery, to be photographed by Australian photographer James Rendell is to bethe positive people and their whanau together. He says the relationships - people with HIV, friends, partners, family and children - are important in this concept "as the idea is that positive people are alive and well in NZ society, and they are part of the social mix living basically normal lives, as the rest of us." The key message of the campaign is "Living Positively - some of us are positive but we're all living with HIV", says Baker. "We'd like to hear from anyone with HIV or their significant other/s who are willing to be part of this visual affirmation, please contact me to register your participation.
