Plans for Georgina Beyer's play ‘Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks' to embark on an extended tour of Otago and Southland have been shelved. Lisa Scott of Dunedin's Fortune Theatre says the play will still run from this Friday 23rd February until 17th March at the theatre, but Australasian rights are no longer available to stage the play afterwards – “it seems the playwright (American author Richard Alfieri), has had a very big offer,” she reveals. The tour was to have commenced on 20th March in Kurow and then travel to Ranfurly, Alexandra, Queenstown and Invercargill before concluding in Tapanui on 30th March. Ref: GayNZ.com (m)
